John was born on Feb. 15 1972. He attended E.L.Furr Senior High and then went on to San Jacinto College where he majored in Automotive Technology specializing in GM and Minoring in Psychology and Human Behavior. After receiving his degree in Automotive Technology he worked at Knapp Chevrolet, Timmers Chevrolet and finally found a home at Saturn Of Houston Gulf Frwy in 1995. He worked with Saturn until its demise in 2009 when GM closed the entire brand. He is now owner and operator of HIT and M Services. He was initiated on 6/09 passed on 2/15/10 and Raised on 3/18/10. He served as JS during Lee Adkins year and then served as JW for Bruno Kvetinskas year and as SW for Jimmy Harpers year. When asked what was the favorite part of his year as Master his response was" seeing the lodge change from the old outdated ways and moving forward into the future and also getting more involved in the community." He also enjoyed the fact that all of the factions that meet in the lodge came together and finally became a FAMILY. It was due to this that the year was so successful. His wishes for the lodge is that the current Master continues and surpasses what was started in his year.

Richard Lee Adkins    2010-2011

   Lee was born in Salem Ohio on November 16, 1955 where he was raised on the family farm in Unity Township Ohio.He attended East Palestine High School in East Palestine Ohio and graduated in 1974. Lee enlisted in the US Navy and attended basic electricity & Electronics, and weapons schools he was trained in the assembly, test and maintenance of torpedoes, mines and missiles for attack submarines. He graduated from Southern Christian University in May 2004 with a BS degree in Management. After his tour in the USN Lee took a laborer job in a Republic Steel Mill in Warren Ohio and earned the opportunity to attend the Instrumentation and Analyzer technician apprenticeship program and gained a journeyman trade status which was followed by a period as a Field Service Engineer for Bailey Controls Company, a long career with ARCO Chemical Company which is what brought him to Texas from the ARCO Beaver Valley Pennsylvania plant. During this time he met and married his wife Erin and they reside in Sheldon TX. In 1998 he joined the Supply Chain organization downtown Houston. Currently Lee owns and operates his own Supply Chain Services and consulting business here in Houston. Lee was initiated into Masonry here in Texas at C.A. Fortner Lodge in Channelview TX on March 11th 1999, Passed to FC on May 11th 2006 and raised to the sublime degree of Master mason on May 25th 2006. After which he obtained plural membership in Pasadena Masonic Lodge he demitted from C.A. Fortner and holds membership at the Pasadena Lodge. Lee is an endowed member of our lodge and holds a 3 Year “C” Certificate and is a member of the Texas Valley of Scottish Rite Masons. The high-lights of his year were seeing the Rainbow Girls and DeMolay Boys organizations grow and thrive, along with the scholarship and Lamar Awards Ceremony for the deserving Pasadena High School students and the 1st of many successful annual Pasadena Lodge Golf Tournaments.  
    

Ronnie Gene Morehead         2009 - 2010

Ron was born in Pasadena, Texas, on July 12, 1950.  He attended and graduated from Sam Rayburn HIgh School in 1968.  He then attended San Jacinto College and Sam Houston State University.  He entered the United States Army serving  during the Viet Nam conflict.  He came home a decorated soldier, and opened his own business from which he retired.  He is now helping his wife in the operation of a Sports Related Business.  Ron petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on February 10, 1986.  He received his Fellowcraft on August 30, 2004, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on September 16, 2004.  Ron served as Master of the Lodge in 2009 - 2010.

Charles C.  Powell                    2008 - 2009

Charles was born in Galena Park, Texas on November 1, 1948.  He attended, and graduated from, Galena Park High School.  Charles enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 - 1970.  He moved to South Houston, Texas in 1972, and lived there until moving to Pasadena, Texas in 1978.  Charles went to work for Arco in 1973, and completed his working career with them,  retiring in 2007.  He became a member of Pasadena Masonic Lodge #1155, and was Raised to the Sublime degree of a Master Mason on February 15, 1971.  Al Kirkpatrick was Master of the Lodge when Charles became a member.  The oldest Past Master that Charles remembers seeing, is Harmon Sorge.  What stands out in his mind about Pasadena Lodge is how large the membership was back then.  (Over 1400 members.)  The highlight of his year as Master was the Widows and Childrens Christmas Party, and Past Masters Night.  His wish for the Lodge is that we become the type of Lodge that other Lodges would like to become. 

Rick Pena                    2007 -2008

Rick was  born in Edinburg, Texas on September 12, 1959.  His early years were spent in Delmita, Texas, until his family moved to Houston, Texas in 1964.  Rick attended Park Place Elementary, Deady Junior High, Milby High School, San Jacinto College, Texas A & M Extension, and Americus University.  Rick served in the Texas State Guard (Army) from 1991 - 1995.  He moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1986, and went to work for Houston Lighting and Power Company, which became Centerpoint Energy, and for whom Rick has worked  ever since (33 years and counting).  Rick joined Pasadena Lodge in 2001, coming in while John Jenkins was Master of the Lodge.  The oldest Past Master Rick remembers is Charles Ray Wheeler.  The thing that stands out in his mind about Pasadena Lodge are :  1)  The friends/brothers he has met through the lodge.  2)   He is also proud of the work Pasadena Lodge does toward awarding Scholorships for deserving children in Pasadena, as well as our Fundraising efforts toward keeping such efforts as these going.  He feels the highlight of his year as Master was the presentation of 50, 60, and 70 year membership pins to the esteemed Masons who had reached such status .  For those who fell in this category, who couldn't come to the Lodge for this presentation due to illness or physical difficulties, Rick personally  took the awards to them at their homes, and presented the award in front of their family and friends.  His wishes for the Lodge are that our membership grows in large numbers, and that the younger brethren get involved in the work of the Lodge.  

Skeets Monroe Johnson                    2006 -2007

Skeets was born July 27, 1938 in Liberty, Texas.  His family moved to Effie,  Louisiana, where Skeets went to school and graduated from Lafargue High School in June of 1956.  He served in the United States Navy from 1956 - 1960.  Skeets moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1983 and went to work for Rohm and Haas, where he worked for 38 years, serving in several different job titles throughout his career.  He retired from Rohm and Haas in December of 2001.  Skeets became a Mason in Sagemont Lodge, but joined Pasadena Lodge in 1985.  Gary Lilley was Master of the Lodge, and O.K. Martin was Secretary of the Lodge, the year Skeets joined.  O.K. Martin is also the oldest Past Master, Skeets remembers.  What stands out in Skeets mind about Pasadena Lodge is the friendship, and camaraderie that exists between the brethren.  The thing that stands out in his mind about his year as Master, was making the much needed repairs to the roo,f and parking lot.  His wishes for the Lodge is that it continues to grow and prosper.

J. W.  Hamilton                    2005 - 2006

J.W. was born in McComb, Mississippi, on October 29, 1929.  He attended, and graduated, from Fernwood High School in 1949.  J.W. served in the United States Army from 1950-1952.   J.W. moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1953, and went to work for Champion Paper Company, for whom he worked until he retired.  J.W. petitioned Pasadena Lodge in 1956, and received his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Masons's Degree from the same.  J.W. served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1973-1974, repeating again as Master in 2005-2006.  He is one of three Past Masters to repeat as Master.  He is a recipient of the Golden Trowel Award, and is one of our esteemed 50 years Masons. 

Gary L.  Lilley                    2004 - 2005

Gary was born in Houston, Texas in 1952.  His family moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1955, where Gary attended, and graduated, from Pasadena High School in 1972.  Gary went to work for Dupont until 2004, when he went to work for his Dad's old company.  He presently works for a Crane repair company.  Gary became a member  of Pasadena Lodge #1155 in 1976, when Jerry Funderburg was Master of the Lodge.  The oldest Past Master Gary remembers seeing was either J.V McClain or Frenchy Anders.  What stands out in Gary's mind about Pasadena Lodge is the membership, and the brotherhood that esists.  The highlight of  his year as Master of the Lodge (2nd time around)  is the support he received from everyone.  Gary remembers that brother Pete Lucas said, "that he didn't get it right the first time , so he needed to go thru again to see if he could do better".  His wish for the Lodge is that the brethren today could experience the camaraderie we had when he started in Masonry.

Leon Carr (Pete)  Lucas                    2003 - 2004

Pete was born in Wilson, North Carolina, on May 25, 1937.  Pete petitioned Walton Lodge No. 423, working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of of Indiana, for the mysteries, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on February 13, 1973.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on March 2, 1973, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on May 12, 1973.  Pete served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 2003-2004.  In 2004, Pete, was commissioned as the Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, of the Commonwealth of Virginia, near the Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, of Texas. Pete demitted Pasadena Lodge 5/2015 

James Albert  Acton                    2002 - 2003

James was born in Hillsboro, Texas, on May 21, 1920.  James attended the following Colleges and Universities:  Baylor University, 1938-1939,  University of Houston, 1951-1953, and Lee College (No dates listed). James moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1942, and went to work for Champion Paper Company , retiring from the same in 1986.  James petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, receiving his Entered Apprentice Degree on September 11, 1986.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on December 10, 1986, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Master on January 27, 1987.  James served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in 2002-2003.  James belongs to many of the bodies in Masonry, and has titles of note in all of them.  Of everything he has achieved throughout his life, there is one thing that really caught my eye, as I did research on him, and it just shows what kind of man he truly is.  On February 14, 2001, the Houston Chronicle had an editorial on him, concerning James having achieved the age of 80, and having been a "REGULAR" blood donor since 1950, and having given (at that time) some 35 gallons of blood to the blood bank.  During all that time, Brother Acton never received any monies for his donations, and stated, "that he never intends to".  That was 9 years ago, and I plan on giving an update to this as soon as I see James at lodge.  What a fantastic accomplishment, and truly The Gift Of Life. 

John Thomas  Jenkins                    2001 - 2002

John was born October 11, 1963, in Houston, Texas.  He lived in Houston  and  upon graduating  from High School,  joined the United States Navy where he served from July 1981 - February, 1990.  Upon completion of his military service, he moved to Deer Park, Texas  and went to work for Rohm and Haas as an operations technician.  John was a sports official,  and also collected sports memorabilia.   He became a member of Pasadena Lodge  and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on November 4, 1991, was Passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on November 2, 1992, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on February 18, 1993.  He served as Master of Pasadena Lodge from 2001 - 2002.  He moved to Stockton, California, and while there, passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on August 22, 2005 at the age of 41 years, 2 months, and 11 days.  Charles is interred in South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.

Milton F.  Baker                    2000 - 2001

Milton was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on January 24, 1920.  Milton lived in Baltimore, Maryland, Ventura, California, and Arlington, Texas, before moving to Pasadena, where he was employed by NASA as an Electrical Engineer until his retirement.  While living in Arlington, Texas, Milton, petitioned Arlington Lodge No.  438, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on December 20, 1957.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on April 1, 1958, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason On May 6, 1958.  Milton affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, on March 28, 1966.  Milton served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in 2000-2001.  Milton is also one of our esteemed 50 year members, receiving his 50 Year Masonic Service Award on October 27, 2007. Brother Baker was called from Labor on 03/03/2017

Paul David Cobb                    1999 - 2000

Paul was born in Teague, Texas, on March 13, 1950.  Paul's family moved to Pasadena, Texas, where he attended, and graduated, from Sam Rayburn High School in 1969.  He entered San Jacinto College, where he continued to further his education from 1969, until he retired.  Paul entered the Uniteed States Army, where he served as a Helicopter Pilot during the Vietnam era.  Upon completion of his military service, he moved back to Pasadena, and went to work for the Pasadena Police Department as a Police Supervisor, retiring from the same.  Paul petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in 1994, and received his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Degree, from the same.  Paul served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1999-2000. 

Dale Oliver Holdeman                    1998 - 1999

Dale was born in Henderson, Texas, on March 15, 1936.  Dale petitioned League, City Lodge  No. 1053, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on June 27, 1969.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on July 28, 1969, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on August 25, 1969.  Dale served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1998-1999.  After retiring, Dale moved to Sylacauga, Alabama.  Dale passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge above on August 24, 2010 at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 24 days.  Dale is interred in Crims Chapel Cemetery in Henderson, Texas.

Wendel Lee Blackburn                    1997 - 1998

Wendell was born in S.E. Memorial Hospital in  Houston, Texas, on May 12, 1966.  Wendell attended and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1985.  Wendell went to work for Brown and Root, and is still in its employ.  Wendell petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on July 5, 1993.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on August 26, 1993, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on September 23, 1993.  Wendell served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No 1155, in 1997-1998.

Ralph Wendell Key Denham                    1996 - 1997

Ralph was born in Abbeville, Alabama, on August 30, 1950.  He attended, and graduated, from Dothan High School in 1969.  Wendell, moved to Pasadena, Texas, in 1975, and went to work for Southland Paper Company, as a Grinder Operating Technician.  Wendell petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentic Degree on January 16, 1978.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on April 13, 1978, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on May 18, 1978.  Wendell served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in 1996-1997. 

Larry Webb Autrey                    1995 - 1996

Larry was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 1, 1926.  After graduating from High School and College, Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served in Korea during the Korean conflict.  Larry petitioned Samuel S. Lawrence Lodge No. 721 in Marietta, Georgia, receiving his Entered Apprentice Degree on February 6, 1960.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on August 5, 1960, and was Raised to the Sublime degree of a Master Mason on September 20, 1960.  Larry moved to Houston, Texas in 1964, where he went to work for NASA as an Electrical Engineer.  He worked for NASA until his retirement.  Larry affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155,  and served as Master of the Lodge in 1995 - 1996.  Larry received the Golden Trowel Award from Pasadena Lodge on June 29, 2001.  Larry passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on May 18, 2005.  He is interred in Grandview Cemetery, Pasadena, Texas.

Robert Blake (Bob)  Portwood                    1994 - 1995

Bob was born in Pasadena, Texas in 1939.  He attended, and graduated from Pasadena High School in 1957, and then attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.  He graduated from there in 1961.  He moved back to Pasadena and began his working career.  He went to work for South Coast Terminals, LLP , working for them for 22 years.  He retired in 2004.  Bob petitioned Archives Lodge and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason in 1968.  He affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1983, when J.D. Franklin was Master of the Lodge.  Bob served as Master of the Lodge in 1994 - 1995.  The oldest Past Master Bob remembers seeing was Elson Blakesley , who was his Uncle, and who served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1935 - 1936 .   He also remembers Jeff Fleming who was a close friend of his father.  What stands out in his mind about Pasadena Lodge, is the great brothers who were not only leaders of the Lodge, but leaders of every facet of the community.  The highlight of Bob's year as Master is two fold:  1) Having the Grand Master (Feris Benham) visit Pasadena Lodge, and 2) Starting the non smoking effort in our lodge building.  Bob's wishes for the lodge for the future, is to see Pasadena Lodge regain its leadership in Freemasonry, and continue to develop leaders. 

Marc McCurtain Wilson                    1993 - 1994

Marc was born in Pasadena. Texas, on August 31, 1962.  He attended, and graduated, from Sam Rayburn High School in 1982.  Marc works in the Petrochemical Industry as an Operating Technician.  Marc petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1987, receiving his Entered Apprentice Degree on on October 29, 1987.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on November 30, 1987, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on January 7, 1988.  Marc served as Master of the Lodge in 1993-1994.

Curtis  Jerald (Jerry) Bice                   1992 - 1993

Jerry was born in Moultre, Georgia, on July 29, 1942.  He attended, and graduated from San Diego High School, in 1967.  After moving to Pasadena, he attended San Jacinto College, where he continued to advance in knowledge (taking varying curriculums) for the entire period of time he resided in the Pasadena area.  After graduating from High School, Jerry went to work for the F.O. Bush Company from 1957 - 1960.  Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served from 1960-1968.    Jerry moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1968, and went to work for Dupont as an Operator Technician.  He stayed in the company's employ, until his retirement.  Jerry petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on October 19, 1970.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on January 14, 1971, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on February 27, 1971.  Jerry served as Master of the Lodge in 1992-1993.  After retiring from Dupont, Jerry moved to Henderson, Nevada. 

Richard Carl (Dick) Garrett                    1991 - 1992.

Dick was born in Vineyard Gap, West Virginia, on May 9, 1918.  He attended, and graduated from, Spencer High School in 1937, whereupon he attended Morris Harvey College from 1938 - 1941.  Dick enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1941, where he served his country for 19 years.  He was a veteran of both WWII, and the Korean wars, and attained the rank of Captain, before retiring from the Air Force.  Dick settled in Pasadena, Texas in 1954, where he worked for GATX, and ARCO, until his retirement in 1997.  Dick petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and rececived his Entered Apprentice Degree on March 25, 1978.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on Sept 9, 1978, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on October 16, 1978.  Dick served as Master of the Lodge in 1991 -1992.  He received the Golden Trowel Award from Pasadena Lodge in 2004.  Dick passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on June 2, 2005, at the age of 87 years, 0 months, and 25 days.  He is interred in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas. 

Richard Charles Sharp                    1990 - 1991

Richard was born in Beaumont, Texas, on February 10, 1943.  He attended, and graduated , from Pasadena High School in 1962.  He attended Texas A&M University.  Richard went to work for Ethyl Corporation as an Operator.  Richard petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, receiving his Entered Apprentice Degree on April 28, 1966.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on April 13, 1967, and was Passed to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on March 18, 1968.  Richard served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1990-1991. 

Stephen Allen  Moore                    1989 - 1990

Steve was born in Pasadena, Texas, on September 18, 1955.  He attended, and graduated from Pasadena High School in 1973.  Steve worked for several petrochemical companies before going to work for Lyondell as an I/E Supervisor.  Steve petitioned Pasadena Lodge and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on March 19, 1981.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on July 16, 1981, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on August 13, 1981.  Steve served as Master of the Lodge in 1989 - 1990.

Paul Herman Teel                    1988 - 1989

Paul was born in Daisetta, Texas,  on October 9, 1934.  His family moved to Galena Park, Texas where Paul attended, and graduated from, Galena Park High School in 1953.  He went to work for Houston Engineers in 1953, but left there in 1955 to serve a 3 year tour in the United States Coast Guard. Upon his discharge from the Coast Guard, Paul came back to Galena Park, and began attending the University of Houston in 1957, and from which he graduated in 1964.  He went to work for Petro Tex in 1960, working in their Research and Development Department.  He served as Shift Supervisor, and Area Supervisor, from 1972 - 1975.  Petro Tex became Denka Chemical, under whom Paul became Area Superintendent, and which position he held upon his passing.  Paul petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on September 4, 1980.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on January 19, 1981, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on March 12, 1981.  Paul served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1988 - 1989.  Paul passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on April 20, 1995.  He is interred in the Teel family cemetery in Saratoga, Hardin County, Texas.

Billy H.  Lee                    1987 - 1988

 Billy was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 31, 1943.  His family moved to Port Arthur, Texas where Billy went to school, and graduated from, Thomas Jefferson High School.  Billy joined the United States Air Force where he served from 1961 - 1964.  After Billy completed his tour in the Air Force, he went to work for Union Carbide in Taft, Louisiana, working there from 1966 - 1968.  Billy moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1968, where he worked for Arco Polymers from 1969 - 1979.  He then went to work for Lubrizol where he worked from 1979 - 2003, in which year he retired.  Billy became a member of Pasadena Lodge in 1976, when Jerry Funderburg was Master of the Lodge.  The oldest Past Master, Billy remembers, was Walter Matthys.  What stands out in Billy's mind about Pasadena Lodge is the support the brethren have one for another, and the way he was supported when he was Master of the Lodge.  He also remembers the lessons he learned from his instructor, Brother Michael Carr.  The highlight of Billy's year as Master, was the completion of the parking lot, roofing, carpeting, and lodge seat projects.  Billy and his wife Vi now live in Conroe, Texas.

Tommy Ray  Lester                    1986 - 1987

Tommy was born in Winnfield, Louisiana, on June 29, 1946.  He attended, and graduated, from Pasadena High School in 1963.   Tommy attended San Jacinto College from 1977 -1979.  Upon graduating from High School, Tommy enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1963-1967.  Upon his discharge, Tommy came back to Pasadena, and went to work for Charter International Oil Company, where he worked as a Mechanical Inspector,  Tommy petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on June 1, 1981.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on August 3, 1981, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on October 1, 1981.  Tommy served as Master of the Lodge in 1986-1987.

Gary L.  Lilley                    1985 - 1986

Gary was born in Houston, Texas in 1952.  His family moved to Pasadena, Texas  in 1955, where Gary attended, and graduated, from Pasadena High School in 1972.    Gary went to work for Dupont until 2004, when he went to work for his Dad's old company.  He presently works for a Crane Repair Company.  Gary became a member of Pasadena Lodge  No. 1155 in 1976, when Jerry Funderburg was Master of the Lodge.  The oldest Past Master Gary remembers is either J.V. McClain, or Frenchy Anders.  What stands out in Gary's mind about Pasadena Lodge, is the membership, and the brotherhood that exists.  The highlight of his 1st time thru as Master of the Lodge, is all the help he received from the Past Master,s and membership, when it was decided to replace the flat roof with a gable roof.  He started the  fundraising effort, and brothers Tommy Lester, and Billy Lee, finished the project.  He also places the family picnics held at Simpson Park in high regard.

Dozier Payne Gossett                    1984 - 1985

Dozier was born January 27, 1938 in Houston, Texas.  His family moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1939.  Dozier attended Pasadena High School, from where he graduated in 1956.  He went to work for Rohm and Haas, first as a Production Operator, and later becoming a Machinist.  Dozier work for Rohm and Haas until his retirement.  Dozier, as a young boy, went through Demolay in Pasadena Masonic Lodge #1155,  where he served as Master Councilor .  He petitioned Pasadena Masonic Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on December 10, 1968.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on August 22, 1969, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on November 17, 1969.  He served as Master of the Lodge in 1984 - 1985.  He received the Golden Trowel award on September 10, 2002, and served as District Deputy Grand Master in 1995.  Dozier passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on November 7, 2009.  Dozier is interred in New Energy Cemetery, in Crockett, Texas. 

James Dedrick Franklin Sr.                    1983 - 1984

J.D. was born in Great Falls, South Carolina, in August 1927.  His family moved to Clinton, South Carolina in 1938.  J.D. attended Clinton High School,  from where he graduated in 1951.  His family moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1960, where J.D. went to work for Shell Oil Company as a Truck Dispatcher.  J.D.  petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155,  and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on January 19, 1976.  He  was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on May 13, 1976, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on June 10, 1976.  J.D. served as Master of the Lodge in 1983 - 1984.  J.D. passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on February 7, 1996.

Michael Earl Carr                    1982 - 1983

Michael was born in Mexia, Texas, on December 14, 1946.  His family lived in a farming community just outside of Mexia, called Forest Glade, where he started school.  In 1955 his family moved to Albany, Texas, where Mike attended, and graduated, from Albany High School in 1965.  Mike enlisted in the United States Army, and spent 1966 - 1969 in its service.  He received his discharge in 1969, and moved  to Pasadena, Texas, where he went to work for Arco Polymers.  He worked there from 1969 - 1977, and then went to work for Rexene.  He spent the remainder of his career at the same site but under multiple names, the last being Sunoco Chemicals.  He retired in June of 2009.  Mike became a member of Pasadena Lodge in 1975, when Frank Black was Master of the Lodge.  The oldest Past Master that Mike remembers seeing, was Jeff Fleming.  What stands out most in his mind about Pasadena Lodge, is the closeness of its members,  the high standard that was placed upon the work as a whole, and that same standard of excellence for its officers.  The highlight of his year as Master actually occurred at his installation.  Aaron Tommy Dean had started him through the chairs, and upon his being elected Master, Aaron Tommy Dean was his Installing Master and also was the District Deputy for Masonic District 30B, of which Pasadena Lodge was a part at the time.  Michael's wish for the Lodge is that it has a resurgence in growth, that peace and harmony always prevails, and that Pasadena Lodge always holds respected status among the lodges in Texas.

Charles Theodore (Ted) Rogers Jr.                    1981 - 1982

Ted was born in Hebbronville, Texas, on January 19, 1930.   His family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas,  where Ted attended, and graduate,d from Flour Bluff High School in 1947.  Ted moved to Houston, Texas in March of 1950.  Ted worked for various Oil Well Service, and Pertrochemical Companies.  His last place of employment, was Charter Oil Company where he worked as a Supervisor for 23 years, and then retired.  Ted moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1972.  He petioned Pasadena Lodge #1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on November 18, 1974.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on January 11, 1975, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on April 14, 1975.  He served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1981 - 1982.  Ted passed  from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on September 12, 2005 at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 14 days.

Donald Wayne  Caldwell                    1980 - 1981

Don was born in Houston, Texas on July 17, 1931.  He attende,d and granduated, from Milby High School in 1950.    Don worked for Philips Petroleum Company, as first an Instrument Technician, and later became Instrument Supervisor.  Don worked for Philips Petroleum Company until he retired.  Don petitioned Pasadena Lodge #1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on November 20, 1972.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on January, 25, 1973, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on February 22, 1973.  Don served as Master of the Lodge in 1980 - 1981.  He received the Golden Trowel Award on May 21, 1992.  Don passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on July 18, 1992.  Don is interred in Grandview Memorial Cemetery.

Jesse Lee  Jeter Jr.                    1979 - 1980

Louis Elliod (Papa)  Todd                    1978 - 1979

Papa Todd was born In Knox City, Texas, on January 26, 1911.  He worked for Humble Oil and Refining Company, until his retirement.  He petitioned East Gate Lodge No. 1153, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on April 15, 1952.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on July 22, 1952, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on August 26, 1952.  He affiliated with Pasadena Masonic Lodge No. 1155, on February 22, 1971.  He served as Master of the Lodge in 1978 - 1979.  Papa served as District Deputy Grand Master in 1986.  Papa Todd passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 29, 1998, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 3 days. 

Aaron Tommy Dean                    1977 - 1978.

Tommy was born in Chilicothe, Texas, on May, 9, 1938.  His family moved to Center, Texas, where Tommy attended Center High School, until the family moved again.  They settled in Bryan, Texas, where Tommy attended, and graduated, from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1956.  Tommy served in the United States Air Force from June 1956 - June 1960.  He moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1964, and went to work for the Electrical Union, Contractors, and Wayne Electric, from where he retired in July 2000.  Tommy became a member of Pasadena Lodge in 1972, when Warren Trost was Master of the Lodge.  The oldest Past Master Tommy remembers seeing was Jeff Fleming.  Tommy served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1977 - 1978.  Tommy also served as District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic Destrict 30B, in 1981 - 1982. What stands out in Tommy's mind about Pasadena Lodge was the esoteric proficiency of the Lodge, and the dedication it had to our public schools.  The highlight of his year as Master was when Pasadena Lodge, opened Lodge at the Masters Wardens and Secretary's Association, and received the Grand Master of the State of Texas, as well as his Grand Officers.  There, the Grand Master presented Pasadena Lodge with a plaque for donating 125 pints of blood at one of our blood drives.  In regard to his wishes for Pasadena Lodge, Tommy said, "Pasadena Lodge will always be #1 in my heart.  I would hope for them to have more involvement in the community.  Let people know who we are.  Garner participation of our membership in such things as Parades, Funerals, Scholarships, and Nursing Homes, and put these events in the local paper and now, our website.  Tommy has moved away from Pasadena, but is still very active in Masonry.  He received a "Golden Trowel" award from Conroe Lodge No. 748 in 2005, served as Master of Trinity Lodge No. 14 in 2008 - 2009.

Jerry L.  Funderburg                    1976 - 1977.

Jerry was born in El Paso, Texas, on November 16, 1940.  His family moved to South Houston, Texas, in the early 1940's where Jerry attended, and graduated, from Pasadena High School in 1959.  Jerry attended the University of Houston from where he graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering.  Jerry went to work for an Engineering Consulting Firm.  Jerry became a member of the Instrument Society of America, a technical organization closely associated with his work, where he was elected as President of the Houston Chapter.  Jerry also held national offices, including Director of the Chemical and Petroleum Division, and was on the Long Range Planning Committee.  He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 1984.  Jerry retired from Engineering, and went back to school at the University of Houston, where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Finance.   Jerry is very active in his Church and has many outside interests.  Jerry moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1960, and petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, where he received his Entered Apprentice Degree October 5, 1970.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on November 16, 1970, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on January 25, 1971.  Jerry served as Master of the Lodge in 1975 - 1976.  He served as Treasurer in 2002 - 2005.  Jerry has served on many committees throughout his Masonic Career, and is currently the Masonic Education Officer for Pasadena Lodge.  Jerry currently resides in League City, Texas. 

Frank W.  Black                    1975 - 1976

Frank was born in Marshall, Texas, on April, 27, 1932.  He attended Marshall, and Lake Jackson High Schools, from where he graduated.  Frank served in the United States Navy from December 28, 1951 - February 3, 1954.  Frank moved to Houston, Texa,s in 1956.  He joined the Carpenters Union in 1950, and worked in the construction industry, where he served as a Carpenter, Foreman, and Superintendent, until retiring in 2000 .   He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in October 1968, when George Herring was Master of the Lodge.   Frank received his Entered Apprentice Degree on December 12, 1968, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on February 20, 1969, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on March 20, 1969.   The oldest Past Master Frank remembers seeing, was A.W. Calhoun.  The thing that stands out in Frank's mind about Pasadena Lodge, is the amount of work we had.  It was awesome.  The highlight of his year as Master was that it was a very enjoyable year.  Going to Grand Lodge, really stands out in his mind, and he feels that everyone needs to go at least one time.  His wish for Pasadena Lodge is that we see our attendance increase on Stated Meeting and Study Nights.  

Earl Robert Seale                    1974 - 1975

Earl was born in Sweetwater, Texas, on July 22, 1920.  He attended, and graduated, from Pennington High School in 1939.  Earl enlisted in the United States Army in 1940, and was discharged in July of 1945, having served through all of WWII.  Upon his discharge from the Army, Earl lived in Pennington, Texas, from 1945 - 1946, where he attended Sam Houtson State University, in Huntsville, Texas.  Earl moved to Galena, Park, Texas in 1947, and went to work for Sheffield Steel (a division of Aramco Steel), as a Metallurgical Observer.  He worked for them until his retirement.  Earl moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1954, and petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on April 18, 1958.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on June 6, 1958, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on July 11, 1958.  Earl served as Master of  Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1974 - 1975.  Earl passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on March 19, 2008, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 27 days. 

J. W.  Hamilton                    1973 - 1974

J.W. was born in McComb, Mississippi, on October 29, 1929.  J.W. attended, and graduated from Fernwood High School in 1949.  He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952.  J.W moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1953, and went to work for Champion Paper Company, for whom he worked until he retired.  J.W. petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, receiving his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Masons, degree in the same.  J. W. served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1973- 1974, repeating again as Master in  2005 - 2006.  He is one of the three Past Masters to have repeated as Master of the Lodge.  J.W. is a recipient of the Golden Trowel Award, and is one of Pasadena Lodge's esteemed 50 year members.

Lawrence Walker (Larry) Maas                   1972 - 1973

Larry was born in Houston, Texas, on July 7, 1926.  His family moved to San Antonio, Texas, where Larry attended, and graduated, from Thomas Jefferson High School, in 1943.  Larry attended Southwestern University, and then the University of Houston, where he graduated as a Chemist.  Larry went to work for Shell Oil Company in 1946, and worked for them his whole working career.  When he retired he was working in their Research and Development Facility.  Larry petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on February 23, 1967.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on April 13, 1967, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on May 11, 1967.  Larry served as Master of the Lodge in 1972 - 1973. 

Warren Amos Trost                    1971 - 1972

Warren was born in Collegeport, Texas, on September 19, 1919.  Warren attended, and graduated, from Henrietta King High School, in Kindgsville, Texas, in 1936.  Warren attended Texas  A. & I. College from September 1936, to May 1940.  He then attended Manchester College of Technology , in Manchester England from September 1945 - December 1945.  Warren served in the United States Army from 1944-1946.  He moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1948, and went to work for Shell Oil Company.  He later worked for Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation, as a Mechanical Engineer.   Warren petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1956, receiving his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason's Degree, in the same.  Warren served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1971-1972.

Alfred  Prentice (Al) Kirkpatrick                    1970 - 1971

Charles Ray  Wheeler                    1969 - 1970

C. Ray was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, on June 6, 1927.  He petitioned C.A. Fortner Lodge No. 1304, and received his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason's degree in this lodge.  He became a member of North Shore Lodge no. 1353 and affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 on February 22, 1965.  C. Ray served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1969 -1970.  He achieved the esteemed status of 50 year Mason in 2002. 

George Franklin  Herring                    1968 - 1969

George was born September 21, 1908, in Cyclone, Bell County, Texas.  His family moved to Burlington, Texas, where George attended school at St. Michael's  School from September 1914 - May 1924.  His family then moved to Cameron, Texas, where George attended, and graduated, from Yoe High School in May of 1925.  George then attended the University of Texas in Austin.  George moved to Pasadena, Texas, in 1928, and went to work  for Arco, where we worked for 42 years until his retirement in 1970.  George became a member of Pasadena Lodge #1155, where he received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on March 16, 1962.  He we Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on May 25, 1962, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on May 3, 1963.  George served as Master of the Lodge in 1968 - 1969, and later served as Treasurer of the Lodge for a number of years. George had a special gift and conducted many Masonic Graveside Services for our Lodge.   George passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on January 25, 2002, in Conroe, Texas.  George  is interred in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Kenneth Barnes  Murphy                    1967 -1968

Kenneth was born in Dewville, Texas, on September 19, 1934.  He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1953, and then attended the University of Houston.  Kenneth worked for Diamond Alkali.  He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1962, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on July 20, 1962.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on August 20, 1962, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on September 22, 1962.  Kenneth served as Master of the Lodge in 1967-1968.

Alpha Bateman (A.B.) McCormick                    1966 - 1967

A.B. was born in Buffalo Gap, Texas, on October 11, 1896.  He petitioned Abilene Lodge No. 559, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on December 10, 1924.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on February 15, 1925, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on March 15, 1925.  He moved to Pasadena, Texas and affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 on July 22, 1935.  He served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1966-1967, and received Life Membership in Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 on September 9, 1968.   He received his 50 year Masonic Service Award on March 13, 1978.  A.B. passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on January 5, 1980.  A.B. is interred in South Park Cemetery.

Larcom Everett  Yelvington                    1965 - 1966

Larcum was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, on September 9, 1919.  He attended, and graduated, from Mainland High School, in Daytona Beach in 1939.  He enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1941 - 1945.  Larcum moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1949, where he went to work for Shell Chemical from January 1948, until his retirement.  Larcum petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on May 7, 1954.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on July 5, 1954, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on August 2, 1954.  Larcum served as Master of the Lodge in 1965 - 1966.  Larcum passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 3, 1999.

Thomas Wesley (Tom) Mathis                    1964 - 1965

Tom was born in Vanderbilt, Texas, on December 31, 1917.  He attended, and graduated, from Bloomington High School in 1936.  Tom moved to Houston, Texas in 1941, and went to work for Shell Oil Company as an electrician..  He worked for them for 37 years, until his retirement in 1978.  Tom moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1953, and petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1958.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on May 19, 1958.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on June 16, 1958, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on July 26, 1958.  Tom served as Master of the Lodge in 1963 -1964.  Tom passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on September 21, 1987.

Williford Egbert (W.E.) Sick               1962-1963

W.E. was born in Houston, Texas, on January 26, 1909.  He attended, and graduated, from Central HIgh School in Houston, Texas, in 1924.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1941-1947.  W.E. moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1953, and went to work for Hill and Hill Exterminating.  He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, receiving his Entered Apprentice Degree on December 14, 1946.  He was Passed of Fellowcraft on February 4, 1957, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on March 30, 1957.  W.E. served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1962-1963.  W.E. passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on April 14, 1065.    

Rayburn Buford  Hall Jr.                    1961 - 1962

Rayburn was born in Crockett, Texas, on September 13, 1925.  His family moved to Augusta, Texas, where he attended, and graduated, from Glover HIgh School.  He served in the United States Army during  WWII, and at its conclusion, moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1950.  Rayburn went to work for the Champion Paper Company, where he was employed, and later retired,  after serving them for 38 years.  Rayburn petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, and Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason.  He served as Master of the Lodge in 1961 - 1962. R ayburn achieved the esteemed status of a  50 year member.   Rayburn passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge above, on December 31, 2006, at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 18 days.   He is intereed in Grandview Memorial Cemetery.

Orville K.  Martin                    1960 - 1961

Orville Kenneth Martin was born in Albany, Oklahoma, on January 4, 1930.  He attended Washington Irving Elementary School in Durant, Oklahoma, Durant Junior High School, and began High School in Durant.  His family moved from Durant, to Cambridge, Nebraska in 1948. Orville  attended, and graduated, from Russell High School in 1948.  Orville moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1953, where he went to work for Champion Paper Co./Simpson Paper Co. , working at the two for 40 years, and then retiring.  Orville became a member of Pasadena Lodge #1155, in 1955.  He recevied his Entered Apprentice Degree, on February 18, 1955, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on April 4, 1955, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on May 12, 1955.  Orville served as Master of Pasadena Lodge #1155 from 1960 - 1961.  He served as Secretary of Pasadena Lodge,  from June 1963 until his death.  Orville served as District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 30B, in 1970 - 1971.  He received a Lifetime Proficiency Certificate from the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1981, and received the Golden Trowel Award from Pasadena Lodge #1155 on April 27, 1992.  Orville passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on March 25, 1993.  He is interred in Grandview Memorial Cemetery.  

Harmon Rayford  Sorge                    1959 - 1960

Harmon was born in Winnsboro, Wood County, Texas on May 11, 1917.  He attended, and graduated, from Pittsburg Public School in 1936.  Harmon moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1941, and went to work for Champion Paper Company as an Operator.  Harmon petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, was elected, and received his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Masters Degrees, all in Pasadena Lodge.  Harmon served as Master of the Lodge in 1959-1960.  Harmon became one of our members to reach the esteemed status of 50 year Mason in 2002. 

James V.  (J.V.) McClain                    1958 - 1959

V. was born in Kennard, Texas, on June 14, 1922.  He moved to the Pasadena, Texas area, and went to work for Diamond Shamrock, where he was employed as a Painter/Foreman.  He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree,  on April 29, 1941, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraf,t on June 20, 1949, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on July 22, 1949.  J. V. served as Master of the Lodge in 1958 - 1959.  He passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on June 4, 1996.  J. V. is interred in  Ivy Cemetery, in Groveton, Texas.

Ernest was born in Normangee, Texas, on February 7, 1910.  He moved to the Pasadena, Texas area, and went to work for the Shell Oil Refinery.  He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on April 12, 1945.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on June 1, 1945, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on June 29, 1945.  Ernest served as Master of the Lodge in 1957 - 1958.  He passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 15, 1969.

Ples was born in Madisonville, Texas, on November 12, 1910.  He moved to the Pasadena, Texas area, and went to work for Brown Ship Building.  Ples petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on March 16, 1944.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on May 1, 1944, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on May 29, 1944.  Ples served as Master of the Lodge in 1956 - 1957.  He passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 19, 1977.

Calvin was born in George, ????, on March 6, 1901.  He moved to the Pasadena area, and petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155.  Calvin received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on October 12, 1944, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on December 14, 1944, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on January 18, 1945.  Calvin served as Master of the Lodge in 1955 - 1956.  He passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 13, 1978.

Elmer was born in Citronelle, Alabama, on January 11, 1911.  He moved to the Pasadena, Texas area, where he worked as a machinist.  He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on November 26, 1943.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on January 13, 1944, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on February 21, 1944.  Elmer served as Master of the Lodge in 1951 - 1952.  He passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above , on January 22, 1964.

Francis Glyn (Frenchie)  Anders                    1950 - 1951

Frenchie was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 29, 1916.  His family moved to Pasadena, Texas, in 1934, where Frenchie attended, and graduated, from Pasadena High School in 1936. Frenchie went to work for Champion Paper Company, where he worked himself up from Laborer to Pulp Mill Superintendent.  He worked for them for 44 years, until retiring in 1979.  During World War II, Frenchie served in the Texas Air National Guard.  Frenchie served as the City of Pasadena United Way Chairman, for two years. While working for Champion,  Frenchie attended the University of Houston, studying vocational and supervisory training subjects.    Always interested in eduction, in 1950 he helped  organize the Pasadena Public School Observance Week.  In 1960, Frechie helped organize San Jacinto College.  One of the original 7 board members, he served on every board committee, including Chairman of the Board.  The Francis G. Anders Physical Education Building, is named for his efforts.  Frenchie petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 , receiving his Entered Apprentice Degree, on February 12, 1942.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on March 9, 1942, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on June 21, 1943. Frenchie served as Chairman of the Masters, Wardens, and Secretary's Association, in 1949 - 1950, and served as Master of Pasadena Lodge, in 1950 - 1951.  In 1954, Frenchie, served as District Deptuy Grand Master.  Frenchie passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on December 19, 2003, at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 21 days.   

Walter C.  Matthys                    1949 - 1950.

Walter was born on a farm near Riesel, Texas, on November 18, 1912.  He graduated from Mart High School, and then attended Baylor Universtiry, where he graduated with a BBA.  He was awarded a "fellowship" at Texas A & M University, where he taught "freshman education" while completing his work for a Master of Science degree.  In the fall of 1937, he came to Pasadena, Texas, to teach at the still to be completed, Jackson Junior High School. In 1942, he was appointed principal, at South Houston Elementary School. In 1944, he was the first principal, of Gardens Elementary, where the influx of people moving in, created classroom overcrowding, and the war limited available equipment. In the fall of 1963, he was appointed Assistant Principal at South Houston High School. In 1968, he became the Principal of the school, until 1975.  He then served as the home school coordinator, until his retirement in 1978.  On May 7, 1992, Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, under the Direction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, leveled a cornerstone at the Walter Mathys Elementary School, which was named in honor of our distinguished brother.  Walter enjoyed many community activities.  He served as president of the Downtown Lions Club, and of the Greater South Houston Rotary Club, where he was a charter member. Walter petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 , and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on July 27, 1942.  Walter was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, and Raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.  Walter served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1949 - 1950.   On September 24, 1992,  Walter reached the esteemed status of 50 year Mason, and was presented with his 50 year award, by the officers and members of Pasadena Lodge.  Brother Walter has passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above. 

Clarence Manly Whitaker                    1948 - 1949

Clarence was born December 21, 1912, in Houston, Texas.  He worked for Champion Paper Company as an Operator Helper.  Clarence petitioned Pasadena Lodge No,. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on November 18, 1940.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on January 20, 1941, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on March 3, 1941.  Clarence served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1948 - 1949.  He was voted to receive Life Membership on May 14, 1956.  Clarence passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above  December 26, 1982.

Edward was born November 15, 1898 , in Alton, Illinois.  After coming to Pasadena, Texas, he worked as an Oil Blender for Shell Oil Company.  Edward petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on January 19, 1942.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on February 16, 1942, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on March 16, 1942.  Edward served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1947 - 1948, and was voted Life Membership on May 23, 1955.  Edward passed from this life , and entered the Celestial Lodge Above,  on October 29, 1981.   

George William  Hamrick                    1946 - 1947

 George was born March 11, 1898 in Highland, Oklahoma.  He worked as an Engineer for the Rice Hotel.  Clarence petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on March 31, 1941.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on May 15, 1941, and Rasied to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on June 12, 1941.  George served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1946 - 1947.  He was voted his Life Membership, on May 24, 1954.  George passed from this life, and entered the Celelstial Lodge Above, on December 27, 1977 .  George is interred in South Park Cemetery.

Ed was born in Morgan City, Louisiana, on July 3, 1903.  He moved to the Pasadena, Texas area (Golden Acres), and went to work for Shill Oil as a Loader.  Ed petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on October 21, 1940.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on February 3, 1941, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on March 13, 1941.  Ed served as Master of the Lodge in 1945 - 1946.  Ed passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on January 28, 1968.

James was born April 15, 1905, in Red Oak, Oklahoma.  Upon moving to Pasadena, Texas, he went to work for Sinclair Oil and Refining Company, as an Electrician.  James petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on December 2, 1940.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on January 20, 1941, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason,  on February 7, 1941.  James served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in 1944 - 1945.  He was voted to received Life Membership, June 8, 1953.  James reached the esteemed status of 50 year Mason, and received his 50 Year Service Award, on August 2, 1991.  James  passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on May 1, 1994.  James is interred in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. 

Robert Harry Welbourn                   1943 - 1944

Harry was born in Troup, Texas, on January 3, 1903.  He moved to Houston, Texas, and went to work for the Railroad. He retired from Houston Belt and Terminal, where he worked as a Signal Maintenance worker. He petitioned Houston Lodge No. 1189 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on February 29, 1924.  He Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on April 4, 1924, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on May 13, 1924.  He affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 on May 8, 1940, and demitted from Houston Lodge No 1189 on June 18, 1940.  Harry was also a Charter member of Archives Lodge No. 1399, where he also served as Charter Secretary.  Harry served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1943-1944.  He also served as Secretary of Pasadena Lodge from 1951-1961.  Harry withdrew his resident membership from Archives Lodge No. 1399, and took single membership in Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 on February 26, 1965.  Harry received his 50 year Masonic Service Award in Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 by R:W: Aubrey Tackitt, on August 24, 1974.  He received his 65 year Masonic Service Award in Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 on October 15, 1990.  Harry passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on May 14, 1995.  At the time of his death, he was a 71 year Mason.  Harry is interred in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Roy Olin  Kay                    1942 - 1943

Roy was born August 1, 1896, in Petteway, Texas.  HIs occupation was that of Electrician, but there is no information as to where he was employed.    He petitioned Lufkin Lodge No. 669,  where he received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on March 11, 1920, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on April 17, 1920, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on May 20, 1920.  He also belonged to Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 872, at Port Arthur, Texas, and then Houston Lodge No. 1189 , before afilliating with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, on April 10, 1939.  Roy served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1942 - 1943.   He received a Life Membership, on June 23, 1951.   He reached the esteemed status of 50 year Mason, and received his 50 Year Service Award from the officers and members of Pasadena Lodge, on April 21, 1971.  Roy passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on May 5, 1973.   

Adam Wilbur  (A.W.)  Calhoun                    1941 - 1942

A.W. was born July 15, 1903, in Vienna, Georgia.   A.W. moved to Deer Park, Texas, and went to work for Shell Petroleum, as a pumpman.  He petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Enter Apprentice Degree, on December 20, 1937.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on January, 17, 1938, and Rasied to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on February 21, 1938.   A.W. served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, in 1941 - 1942.  He received a Life Membership from Pasadena Lodge, on June 24, 1951.  He affiliated with Archives Lodge No. 1399, on December 22, 1962.  A.W. passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on February 9, 1976.

Jeff E.  Fleming                    1940 - 1941

Jeff was born in Center, Texas, on January 8, 1913.  Jeff moved to Pasadena, Texas, in 1931, opened a Barber Shop, until the start of W.W. II, at which time he entered, and served in the United States Coast Guard, until the conclusion of the war.  With the war ended, Jeff moved back to Pasadena, Texas, where he started a real estate and investment business, in which he stayed active until his death.  Jeff was the founder of Grand View Memorial Park, was Past President of the Pasadena Board of Realtors, was Past Commander of  American Legion Post No. 484, was founding Chairman of the Planning Commission of the City of Pasadena, was former PISD Board Member, was Past President of the Pasadena Rotary, and Life Member of the  Pasadena and Houston Livestock Shows and Rodeos.  Jeff petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on July 1, 1957.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on August 23, 1937, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on September 23, 1937.  Jeff served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1940 - 1941.  He achieved the esteemed status of  50 year Mason, and received his 50 year Masonic Service Award, in July of 1987.  Jeff passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on July 4, 1999, at the age of 86 years, 5  months, and 27  days.

James  Douglas  Manning                    1939 - 1940

James was born in Octibaha County, Mississippi, on November 14, 1881.  By profession, James was a Public School Employee.  James petitioned John Sims Lodge No. 458,  and received his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Masons Degree in this Lodge.   He moved his membership to Montgomery Lodge No.5,  in Montgomery, Texas, and later, after moving to Pasadena, Texas, he affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155.  James served as Master of the lodge in 1939 - 1940.  James has passed from  this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above. 

Clifford Joseph Hebert                     1938 - 1939

Clifford was born in Franklin, Louisiana, on July 1, 1889.  He was employed by Galena Signal Oil Company, and later the Texas Company, where he worked as a Stillman.  Clifford petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on October 27, 1932.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on Jamuary 25, 1933, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on March 16, 1933.  Clifford served as Master of the Lodge in 1938 - 1939.  Clifford  passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on March 23, 1981.  Clifford is interred in the Masonic Section of Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Texas, and then later moved to the Pasadena, Texas area.  He was employed by the Galena Signal Oil Company, where he worked as a Painter.  William petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason Degrees.  William served as Master of Pasadena Lodge in 1937 - 1938.  William has passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above.

Adolph Benard Cumbie                    1936 - 1937

Adolph was born in Coffee Springs, Alabama, on December 3, 1899.  Adolph moved to Houston, Texas, where he went to work as a Seaman.  He later went to work for Reed Roller Bit, as a Security Officer.  Adolph petitioned  Ralph K. Howell Lodge No. 1259, in Galena Park, Texas, and on  June 15, 1929, he received his Entered Apprentice Degree.  Ralph K. Howell Lodge demised, and Brother Cumbie petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, for membership, and completion of his work.  After all technicalities had been resolved through the Grand Lodge of Texas, Brother Cumbie was granted membership in Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on October 29, 1931.  He was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on December 2, 1931.  Adolph served as Master of the Lodge in 1936 - 1937.  Adolph passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on December 7, 1966. 

Elson William (E.W.)  Blakesley                    1935 - 1936

E.W. was born in Deepwater, Texas, on September 22, 1899.  E.W was one of six families that founded the City of Pasadena.  E.W. was the First Commissioner of the City of Pasadena.  He worked for Arco Chemical originally as an Oil Treater.  He retired as a Supervisor, with over 40 years service.  E.W. petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on July 16, 1923.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on August 31, 1923, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on October 1, 1923.  E.W. served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1935-1936.  He received his 50 year Masonic Service Award at the Grand Lodge of Texas, and presented by the Grand Master, M:W: Robert B. O'Conner, on December 3, 1975.  E.W passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above on December 25, 1983, at the age of 84.  E.W. is interred in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Delbert was a Steel Worker who resided in LaPorte, Texas.  Delbert petitioned LaPorte Lodge No. 1157, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on December 12, 1918.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on February 7, 1919, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on March 17, 1919.  He affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and served as Master of the Lodge, in 1932 - 1933.  He was voted a Life Membership in Pasadena Lodge, on June 10, 1946.  Delbert passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 22, 1961.

Forrest was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on March 18, 1891.  He moved to the Pasadena, Texas area, where he worked as a Pipefitter.  Forrest petitioned Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on November 26, 1925.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on February 1, 1926, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on March 1, 1926.  Forrest served as Master of Pasadena Lodge, in 1929 - 1930.  After retiring, Forrest moved to Campwood, Texas.    Forrest passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on October 24, 1964.

Hargraves.  We would be doing doing a gross injustice if we didn't thank him for the kind of man he was, and the service he gave his lodge, and Freemasonry as a whole.  Brother Hargraves served as Master of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 in 1928-1929.  Brother McGregor has passed from this life and entered the Celestial Lodge Above.

A. B. was born in Oakway, South Carolina, on September 14, 1883.  He petitioned Jims Bayou Lodge No. 491 in Kildare, Texas, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on November 9, 1912.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on January 11, 1913, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on February 8, 1913.  He moved to Pasadena, Texas, and was employed as a Pipefitter.  He affiliated with Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, where he was a Charter Member.  He served as Master of the Lodge in 1927 - 1928 , and later received a Life Membership from the Lodge in which he served.  A. B. became an esteemed 50 year Mason, and received his 50 year Service Award, on February 22, 1963.  A. B. passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on August 21, 1964.  A.B. is interred in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

C. E.  Syfan                    1926 - 1927

Marcus Eugene Shilling                    1925 - 1926

Marcus was born in Center, Texas, on June 28, 1887.  Marcus petitioned Sam Samford Lodge No. 149, in Center, Texas, and received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on September 12, 1908.  He was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on  October 19, 1908, and  was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Maston, on October 10, 1908.  He became a member of Tenaha Lodge No. 737, from which he dimitted on June 29, 1923, to become a member of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155.  Marcus served as Master of  Pasadena Lodge in 1925 -1926.  Marcus has passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above.

Richmond was a Charter Member, and 1st Worshipful Master, of Pasadena Lodge No.1155.  There is no information as to when, or where, Richmond was born.  Using the date he received his Entered Apprentice Degree, he would have to have been born around 1882.  Richmond petitioned Joe Werner Lodge No. 553, in Trinity, Texas.  Richmond received his Entered Apprentice Degree, on July 18, 1903, was Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, on September 19, 1903, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, on October 24, 1903.  Richmond served as Master of Joe Werner Lodge No. 553, in Trinity, Texas (date unknown).  He dimitted from Joe Werner Lodge No. 553, on October 15, 1921, to become a Charter Member of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155, where he was elected its first Master in 1921.  Richmond was a Life Member of Pasadena Lodge, and received his 50 year Masonic Service Award, on November 23, 1953.  He was elected Master of the Lodge again, in 1923 - 1924, and became the first Past Master to repeat as Master of the Lodge.   Richmond passed from this life, and entered the Celestial Lodge Above, on March 5, 1956.
